Breathing Gym

In this half-hour session, trombonist and music leader for MusicEL, Matt Harrison, takes us through his Breathing Gym. There are lots of warmups and practical exercises which are useful for any musician who breathes (!), with many tips for your own practice. Although these are obviously relevant for wind, brass and singing, these are just as relevant for other instrumental players too – posture and breathing are central to the way our bodies work and how we communicate in music, or in life.

This seminar was produced by one of our partner organisations, Cornwall International Male Choral Festival as part of their 2021 online festival.
